This policy explains how golfpropertyrentals.es uses cookies and similar technologies, and the choices you have. It is provided under the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation, the Spanish Law on Information Society Services (LSSI, article 22.2) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. It should be read with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device. Similar technologies, such as the browser’s local storage, work in the same way. They are used to make a site work, to remember your choices, and sometimes to measure how a site is used.
What we use, and why
We keep this to the minimum. When you first visit, a banner asks for your choice. Apart from the one cookie described below that remembers that choice, nothing optional is loaded unless you agree.

These do not need your consent because the site cannot work properly without them, or because they record your choice.

Visitors do not log in to this website. Our own staff use standard WordPress sign-in cookies (names starting wordpress_ and wp-settings) in the website’s administration area only, and these are never set for ordinary visitors.
Maps (only if you allow it)
The property pages can show a map from OpenStreetMap, which is run by the OpenStreetMap Foundation. The map is not loaded until you press “Show the map” or accept all cookies in the banner. When it loads, your browser connects to OpenStreetMap, which receives your IP address and technical details such as your browser type, and may set its own cookies. We do not control this. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy.
Statistics (only if you allow it, and only when we have switched it on)
At present this website does not use any analytics or advertising tracking. If we later turn on Google Analytics, it will load only if you choose “Statistics” in the banner. It would then set cookies such as _ga and _ga_<ID> (up to 2 years) to count visits anonymously, and Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC would receive data about your visit, which may be transferred outside the UK and EU. We would update this page before doing so.
Other things we do not do
We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, social media tracking buttons or profiling. We do not sell personal data.
Your choices
You can accept all, reject all, or choose by category in the banner. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and you can use the website in full either way (the map is simply shown only after you ask for it).
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time: click Cookie settings (also in the footer of every page). If you withdraw consent, cookies that were set earlier can be removed through your browser settings. Your browser also lets you block or delete cookies:
Blocking all cookies, including the one that remembers your choice, means the banner may appear again on your next visit.
Your rights
Under data protection law you have rights over your personal data, including to access it, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier use. Details are in our Privacy Policy. To use these rights, write to info@golfpropertyrentals.es. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator (ico.org.uk).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example if we add a new service. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
